The Bema Seat explores this question as it tells the story of one man's entrance into eternity.
Taken by surprise in the rapture of the Church, he discovers he must appear at a judgement seat, the Bema Seat of Christ. As he observes the lives of millions of saints unfold before him, he realizes that heaven's values are far different from the ones he held on earth. And while all have eternal life, there are different rewards and degrees of glory.
As his name is called, he approaches the Bema with a strange mix of fear and delight. For the first time, he sees himself for who he truly was, but will all his work on earth have any eternal value?
Michael Sewell (Heart in a Box, Hope Chest) performs The Bema Seat, which is based on the book The Bema by Tim Stevenson. The Bema Seat sits on the heart of those who believe and challenges all with the Biblical truth that we will stand before our Creator and give account.
