The most contested piece of real estate in the world - the Temple Mount in Jerusalem - continues to stir political controversy and interest in biblical prophecy. Ezekiel's prophecies foretell the rebuilding of a Temple in Jerusalem during the reign of the Messiah, and various Jewish groups have begun preparations for the construction of this Temple. A fundamental question, however, must be answered: What would a rebuilt Temple - as prophesied in the Old Testament - look like?
Based on extensive research and discussions with leading Jewish leaders and rabbis in the U.S. and Israel, Messiah's Coming Temple provides the most accurate and complete description to date of the future millennial worship center. As the authors relate in the introduction, "For over two thousand years the Jewish people have lamented the destruction of their Temple....We would like to share with you the amazing story of Israel's Temples - those of antiquity and those of the future."
This work not only seeks to interpret the key prophecies of Ezekiel regarding the millennial Temple but also to illustrate the future Temple as prophesied by Ezekiel using a three-dimensional model constructed by author John Schmitt.
"Together (the authors) address the most crucial questions Christians ask concerning the future Temple, presenting in a readable fashion the Temple's biblical importance and prophetic significance....May all who long for the days of the Messiah and the culmination of God's great purpose through Him on earth be stimulated to greater expectation through this book!" Dr. J. Randall Price, President, World of the Bible Ministries.
John W. Schmitt is Executive Director of Messianic Temple Ministries, a nonprofit ministry that promotes research and presents seminars on the topic of biblical prophecy and the millennial Temple.
